Two pieces of correspondence (1915 and 1925) from Edison and the Edison Company to Edward C. Horne, district manager of the Harger & Blish Co. of Des Moines, Iowa and a broadside advertising the Edison Company's tone tests which challenged audiences to tell the difference between a live singer (Anna Case) and a recording of the singer played on the Edison phonograph.

Anna Case (1889-1984) was an American soprano and composer who performed with the Metropolitan Opera from 1909 to 1920, and toured as a concert soloist until her marriage in 1931.
